High-Endurance Storage for Security Camera Recording
AXIS Surveillance Card 128 GB is a high-performing edge storage solution for video surveillance, enabling decentralized recording and reducing the need for onsite servers. It supports low-resolution live viewing and high-resolution local recording, optimized by Axis Zipstream technology, for efficient primary or failover storage.
High-performance storage for flexible video surveillance
Edge storage enables flexible storage solutions such as de-centralized video recording and may eliminate the need of an onsite server, DVR or NVR. In applications with bandwidth limitations, live video can be viewed in low resolution, while high resolution video is recorded locally on AXIS Surveillance Card 128 GB. Combined with Axis Zipstream technology, even high-resolution video can be recorded effectively local on AXIS Surveillance Card 128 GB, both for primary storage or as redundancy for failover recording in case of lost connections.Self-contained recording solution

It can be challenging to know what capacity SD card is needed for your specific use case. To guide you in this choice, tables have been created to make this clearer. In the tables below, some of the most common scenarios are represented. These are based on the main video compression standards H.264 and H.265 and the parameters: framerate, bitrate, use of Zipstream, and, of course, the required retention time that is needed.
Retention time = The amount of data/recording stored on the SD card in days, before it gets rewritten.Important to note: the main driving parameter in choosing the right capacity SD card is the bitrate. The suggested camera resolution is only to give an idea of the type of product it correlates to. If you know your bitrate and retention time, then the choice should be clear. As an additional help, you can also find a table based on the default recording settings within ACS Edge.
