MSU88-18G – 8x8 Matrix & Scaler
Slimline HDMI Matrix Switcher with 8x inputs, 8x outputs at resolutions of up to 4K60 4:4:4 (18Gbps). Each output can perform a variety of functions independently, including down Scaling from 4K to 1080p and audio de-embedding of the video streams. De-embeded audio is presented both as S/PDIF (RCA Coax), or analogue stereo L/R (3.5mm TRS jacks). Audio Embedding is also available, using the 8x L/R Analogue Audio Inputs.
This Matrix has four methods of control: Front Panel, RS232, LAN or IR, front panel locking prevents accidental operation. 19" rackmountable with only 1U height.
The MSU88-18G is suitable for a wide range of environments from corporate, retail, and control rooms to training centres and education spaces.
8x8 Matrix – Switch between 8x HDMI 2.0 inputs, to 8x HDMI 2.0 outputs. Capable of 4K60 4:4:4 18G.
Down Scaling – All outputs can be scaled independently. Down Scaling from 4K to 1080p.
EDID – Management of EDID ensures stable installation performance. The EDID for each HDMI input can be from a wide choice of stored EDID or an EDID from one of the connected displays.
Test Pattern Generator – Various Test pattern colours to aid set-up & commissioning and signal cue facility. Each pattern can be set onto pairs of outputs.
Front panel display – LCD display shows the current matrix routing and aids with visual confirmation of various settings.
Audio Control – Any of the 8 L/R audio inputs can be embeded onto any of the video output streams. Each output video stream is de-embedded and presented as Digital S/PDIF (RCA) output and as Analogue L/R Stereo audio output (3 pin Phoenix). There is also audio mute function available too.
HDCP Control – Support and management of HDCP ensures compatibility. Convert from HDCP 2.2 down to HDCP 1.4 or simply put the unit into cascade mode.
Control – All functions can be operated either from the Front Panel, IR, RS232 or LAN. A built in WEB GUI is accessible via LAN allowing control of Video, Audio, EDID and network parameters to be made. A remote Infra-Red handset is included to select Inputs and Outputs.
