Based on ARTPEC-8, the latest Axis system-on-chip (SoC), this high-performance camera includes a deep learning processing unit (DLPU). This enables improved processing and storage capabilities allowing you to collect and analyze even more data than before—on the edge. Thanks to AXIS Object Analytics, it offers detection and classification of humans, vehicles, and types of vehicles—all tailored to your specific needs. With edge-to-edge technology, it can be connected to an Axis network speaker enabling two-way audio. Furthermore, it can be powered with DC power and PoE. And, even if there’s a power outage, redundant DC power ensures a reliable power supply to safeguard your data.
Excellent image quality day or night
This fully featured camera delivers excellent image quality regardless of the light conditions. It offers 5 MP resolution at a frame rate of up to 30 fps. Thanks to Lightfinder 2.0 and Forensic WDR, it delivers true colors and great forensic detail in challenging light or near darkness. OptimizedIR enables surveillance in total darkness up to 40 m (131 ft) without the need for extra lighting. And, motion-adaptive exposure reduces the motion blur from approaching or nearby objects. Furthermore, Zipstream with support for H.264 and H.265 significantly reduces bandwidth and storage requirements without compromising image quality.

Axis Edge Vault protects your Axis device ID and simplifies authorization of Axis products on your network. Additionally, signed firmware and secure boot guarantee that the firmware hasn’t been compromised and ensure only authorized firmware is installed. And if needed, secure boot guarantees the camera is completely free of malware even after a factory default. Furthermore, this robust, outdoor-ready camera with IP66/67, NEMA 4X, and IK10-ratings is protected from dust, rain, snow and impacts, and can withstand winds up to 50 m/s.
