The MX40 Pro is NovaStar’s flagship 4K LED display controller with lots of new options that offers an all-in-one solution for driving big LED screens at high resolutions. It has HDMI 2.0, DP 1.2, and 12G-SDI inputs that accept input resolutions of up to 4096x2160@60 Hz at up to 12 bit. The 20 Ethernet output ports and/or 4 SFP fibre optic outputs can be used to drive the LED screens directly. Please note that the required SFP modules and CVT10 fibre convertors need to be purchased separately.
The MX40 Pro’s internal capabilities support the best possible image quality. The Dynamic Booster improves contrast and lowers panel power consumption. HDR10 and HLG video sources are supported, providing a more lifelike image. The LED Image Booster improves the colour gamut by switching between multiple gamuts, it improves greyscale images by allowing individual corrections of the greyscale in 16-bit, and it prevents greyscale loss in low-brightness scenes by using 22bit+ technology. The 4K video controller is capable of processing 3D imaging, using the EMT200 3D emitter and 3D glasses.
The MX40 Pro can be controlled by the new, intuitive, and user-friendly VMP software platform, which allows you to configure your screens in almost any layout you want. Regular and irregular screen sizes can be configured extremely fast. Up to ten MX40 Pro devices can be cascaded and uniformly controlled via the control PC. The integrated Genlock function enables you to easily synchronise multiple controllers.
