AXIS S9301 Mk II as a client
AXIS S9301 Mk II can be used as a client when combined with a server such as AXIS Camera Station S12 and S22 Series. This is ideal for retail stores, where it acts as a workstation for end users to operate the system. It can be placed on office desks or anywhere you want it, allowing users to easily access recordings and watch live video using up to two 4K monitors. In this setup, most of the workload for the Video Management Software (VMS) is processed on the server, typically installed in a server room.

AXIS S9301 Mk II as a server
AXIS S9301 Mk II can also be used as a server when used with AXIS S30 Recorder Series or AXIS S4000  Recorder. This is ideal for smaller installations, such as in coffee shops and retail stores, where it provides the infrastructure needed to run your entire system, offering centralized processing power and great scalability. When recording is done on AXIS S30 Recorder Series or AXIS S4000 Recorders, you can use AXIS S9301 Mk II as your server to run your AXIS Camera Station Pro system with up to two monitors for optimal viewing, it offers a seamless and cost-efficient way to expand your system as your needs grow. With a micro form factor, this workstation is ideal wherever space is limited. It comes preloaded with AXIS Camera Station Pro client software to enable quick connection. You can download AXIS Audio Manager Pro and use the 10 included licenses to get you started with your network speakers. Furthermore, the integrated AXIS Recorder Toolbox features an intuitive installation wizard, making it easy to set up hostname, network settings, and date and time settings.
