Sonnet Solo10G T5 Thunderbolt 5 to 10GbE Ethernet Adapter – RJ45, 10Gbps, Bus-Powered | SOLO10G-TB5

Experience Ultra-Fast, Reliable 10GbE Networking with Silent Operation and Seamless Multi-Gigabit Connectivity

Solo10G Thunderbolt 5 10Gb Ethernet Adapter

10G Ethernet for the Thunderbolt 5 Generation
Solo10G® T5 Thunderbolt™ 5 Adapter gives today’s Thunderbolt 5 computers a professional, full-bandwidth 10GbE network connection while maintaining broad compatibility with Thunderbolt 4, USB4, and Thunderbolt 3 computers. To achieve optimal data transfer speeds, the Solo10G T5 adapter’s Thunderbolt 5 interface provides the highest PCIe bandwidth available, more than enough to support full performance with any compatible computer. Bus-powered and compact, it delivers reliable 10GbE performance for high-speed file transfers, shared storage, video workflows, and demanding production networks.

Your Dedicated Connection to 10GbE Infrastructure
Solo10G T5 adapter is equipped with an RJ45 socket, enabling it to connect your computer to 10GbE infrastructure via inexpensive Cat 6 or Cat 6A copper cabling at distances up to 55 or 100 meters, respectively.

Why Choose Thunderbolt 5 for 10Gb Ethernet?
USB4 may provide enough bandwidth for 10Gb Ethernet, but Sonnet’s Solo10G T5 Thunderbolt 5 Adapter delivers advantages that go beyond raw speed:

Thunderbolt Certified
Unlike typical USB4 adapters, Solo10G T5 is built on a trusted, Thunderbolt-certified platform with authenticated firmware, rigorous electrical validation, and broad compatibility testing across host systems and operating environments.

Low Power Requirement
Requiring no power adapter, Solo10G T5 consumes just 7.5 watts of bus power, leaving your computer enough power available to connect another bus-powered Thunderbolt device, such as a Thunderbolt 5 SSD.

Ideal Add-on
With Thunderbolt 5’s increased bandwidth and daisy-chain capability, Solo10G T5 connects seamlessly through a Thunderbolt dock or other Thunderbolt peripheral without becoming a bandwidth bottleneck.

Rugged. Silent. Pocketable.
Featuring a solid aluminum enclosure, Solo10G T5 is cool-running, so it doesn’t need a fan (unlike many USB4 10Gb Ethernet adapters). As a result, it’s not quiet, it’s silent. Measuring just 3.1 inches wide by 4.5 inches deep by 1.1 inches tall, the Sonnet adapter is small enough to drop into a spare pocket in your equipment bag.

Proven Design, Pro Quality
The original Solo10G Thunderbolt adapter became a best-selling 10Gb Ethernet adapter in professional video environments because of its proven reliability. Rather than reinventing a winning formula, Sonnet upgraded it with the latest Thunderbolt 5 technology while retaining the trusted Marvell 10GbE controller and stable drivers users rely on for dependable operation.

No Hassle Configuration
Connect the Solo10G T5 adapter to your computer and an Ethernet cable to the adapter connecting to the network switch (or directly to 10GbE-enabled storage). Configure the adapter’s settings through the macOS Network control panel, Windows Device Manager, or Linux command line (or graphical utility). Once configured, it just works.

Intelligent Operation
Built with intelligent hardware acceleration, the Solo10G T5 adapter maximizes network performance while minimizing system overhead. Advanced networking technologies improve throughput, reduce CPU utilization, and increase efficiency, helping your computer stay focused on demanding creative and professional workloads.

No Rewiring Required
Already have Cat 5e cabling? You can still unlock dramatically faster speeds — up to 2.5x to 5x faster than standard Gigabit Ethernet — without upgrading your infrastructure. Solo10G T5 Thunderbolt 5 Adapter supports the NBASE-T standard, delivering 2.5Gb and 5Gb link speeds over existing Cat 5e (or better) cables when paired with a multi-gigabit compatible switch, router, or NAS. That means you can roll out a single Thunderbolt adapter across your organization and deliver high-performance networking — regardless of the cabling already in place.

Thunderbolt 5 Cable Included
Solo10G T5 adapter’s included cable supports Thunderbolt 5’s full PCIe bandwidth to ensure maximum performance. Through the use of a secured internal Thunderbolt connector, the cable remains firmly connected inside the adapter at all times. Should the need arise, you can easily install an approved replacement cable available from Sonnet or a Sonnet-authorized reseller.
