HDX60-18G – 4K60 HDMI Extender Set
The HDX60-18G is a compact professional HDMI extender designed to deliver reliable 4K60 4:4:4 video transmission up to 60 metres over standard CAT cable. Combining HDMI 2.0 performance with advanced control and diagnostic functionality, it is ideal for corporate AV, education, digital signage, meeting rooms, home cinema, and professional integration projects.
Supporting resolutions up to 4K60 HDR, the extender can transmit 4K signals up to 60m and 1080p up to 85m, while also providing bi-directional RS232 and IR pass-through for seamless system control integration.
What sets this extender apart is the extensive range of built-in installation and troubleshooting tools, helping integrators achieve stable, reliable AV performance in even the most demanding environments.
EDID & HDCP Management
Reliable HDMI distribution depends on proper EDID and HDCP communication between connected devices. Comprehensive EDID management allows the installer to optimise source output formats using display pass-through, predefined EDID profiles, or custom uploaded EDID settings.
Advanced HDCP management further improves compatibility, with selectable HDCP modes including HDCP 1.4, HDCP 2.2, Follow In, Follow Out, and Cascade mode. These tools help eliminate compatibility issues between mixed-generation source and display equipment.
Built-In Test Pattern Generator
An integrated Test Pattern Generator provides a convenient way to verify cable infrastructure, displays, and system operation without requiring an external signal generator.
Multiple resolutions and pattern types are available, including checkerboard and solid colour patterns at 1080p60, 4K30, and 4K60, making commissioning and troubleshooting significantly easier during installation.
Video Keep Alive (VKA)
The built-in Video Keep Alive feature maintains a stable video output whenever the source signal is lost. When activated, the internal test pattern generator automatically takes over to prevent displays or projectors from losing sync.
This can be particularly beneficial in projector installations where signal loss could otherwise trigger lengthy resynchronisation or shutdown cycles.
Flexible Control & Diagnostics
Comprehensive control and monitoring features are available via both the USB-C Service ports and the Flexi RS232 interfaces located on the transmitter and receiver units.
The Flexi port automatically detects whether it is being used for RS232 or IR functionality, simplifying installation while reducing configuration complexity.

HPD Management
The Hot Plug Detect (HPD) function allows the HDMI connection to be remotely reinitialised, forcing the source and display to renegotiate communication without physically disconnecting cables.
This feature is particularly useful when equipment is mounted in difficult-to-access locations such as ceiling spaces, AV racks, or behind displays.
Bi-Directional PoC Power
Bi-directional PoC (Power over Cable) allows the entire extender set to be powered from either the transmitter or receiver end using a single power supply.
This simplifies installation, reduces cabling requirements, and removes the need for local power at both ends of the system.
Compact Professional Design
Both units feature a robust ultra-compact metal enclosure measuring just 79mm x 38mm x 11.5mm, making them ideal for discreet installation behind displays, under tables, inside lecterns, or within compact AV racks.
The metal chassis also assists with heat dissipation, helping maintain reliable long-term operation
