The SY-MS42-18G is a superb HDMI Matrix video switcher with 4 HDMI inputs and 2 Independent Down Scaling HDMI Outputs, along with 2 Independent audio de-embedding outputs, and Display Control facility.
4x2 HDMI Matrix Switching – Full 18G signal path on both input and output. With resolutions up to 4K60 4:4:4.
High Contrast Video formats – Capable of handling HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision and HLG signal formats.
Colour Depth - Capable of passing signals with colour bit depths of 8-bit, 10-bit and 12-bit for 1080p, 4K30 & 4K60 4:2:0, and 8-bit for 4K60 4:4:4 signals.
Colour Spacing - RGB, YCbCr 4:4:4, YCbCr 4:2:2, YCbCr 4:2:0
Scaler - Scaling is performed by controlling the ‘Refresh Rate’, ‘Resolution’ and ‘Colour Sub Sampling’ format. Each output can be independently scaled down into either 1080p or HDBaseT compatibility modes. Auto Scaling mode is also provided, which will limit the bandwidth to below 10.2Gbps while converting the signal to the best format possible.
Audio De-embedder and ARC - The De-embed Audio outputs can choose between any of the 4 inputs. Outputs are via Analogue L/R audio (3 pin Phoenix terminal connectors) and Digital Toslink audio outputs. A Mute/Un-mute function is provided for the S/PDIF outputs. ARC decoding is also provided to the audio outputs from either display. Full audio signal routing can be performed by using the PC App or RS232 commands. By default, the audio will follow video.
EDID Management - This unit has several EDID option. and also the ability to utilise any of the onboard pre-set EDIDs settings, which can be fed to any input selectively. Read EDID from any output and import EDIDs .bin files
HDCP Control - Support and ‘Management of HDCP’ ensures compatibility, allowing you to switch HDCP On or Off for each output.
Stream Control – You can disable the video stream on each output.
Test Pattern Generator – Onboard Test Pattern generation per output is included allowing for easy test and set up of all outputs. 6x different Test Patterns to choose from.
Display Control – This unit also provides automatic RS232, CEC and IR control of the display device power state.
Control - Control of the many signal routing and signal handling choices can be carried out via Front panel buttons, Infra Red, RS232, TCP/IP, Web GUI. RS232 commands can be sent directly via the LAN interface. The Web GUI offers control of parameters as well as signal routing.
Out of the box, it will operate as a plug-and-play 4x2 Matrix switch. All these amazing features are packed in an easy to install 19” 1U ½ rack-mount unit, making it suitable for a wide variety of applications within the residential, education, commercial and hospitality sectors.
