UMS-44 – USB 3.2 Gen1 4x4 Matrix Switcher
The UMS-44 is a USB 3.2 Gen1 matrix switcher designed to provide flexible high-speed USB sharing between multiple host systems and USB peripherals.
Featuring 4 USB host connections and support for up to 6 USB devices, the UMS-44 allows keyboards, mice, cameras, audio interfaces, storage devices, and other USB peripherals to be dynamically shared between multiple computers within professional AV, conferencing, education, control room, and collaborative workspace environments.
Supporting USB 3.2 Gen1 bandwidth up to 5Gbps and fully backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices, the UMS-44 delivers reliable high-speed switching with true plug-and-play operation and no drivers required.
Designed for professional integration, the unit combines flexible matrix routing, auto-switching, configurable USB power modes, real-time device monitoring, and comprehensive control functionality through RS232, TCP/IP, Web GUI, and front panel control.
Flexible USB Matrix Switching
Supports both Matrix Mode and Switcher Mode operation, allowing USB devices to be routed independently or grouped together depending on the application requirements.
In Matrix Mode, each connected USB device can be individually assigned to any host computer, providing maximum routing flexibility for complex collaborative or multi-system environments.
Switcher Mode allows all connected USB devices to switch together between hosts, simplifying operation for meeting rooms, hot desks, shared workstations, and classroom environments.
Auto-Switching
The built-in Auto-Switching functionality allows the system to automatically switch USB device routing based on host connection status.
This simplifies operation in dynamic environments where laptops or host systems are frequently connected and disconnected, reducing manual switching requirements and improving user experience.
USB Power Management
Configurable USB power management allows connected USB devices to operate in either Follow Host or Always On power modes.
Follow Host mode powers USB devices only when the selected host is active, while Always On mode maintains continuous power to connected peripherals regardless of routing status.
The system also supports shared USB power delivery across connected devices, making it suitable for powering cameras, conferencing peripherals, storage devices, and other professional USB equipment.
Flexible Control & Security
Comprehensive control and monitoring features are available via RS232, TCP/IP, Web GUI, and front panel controls.
The built-in Web GUI provides both Admin and User login modes, allowing system administrators to restrict access to advanced configuration settings while still providing basic switching functionality for everyday users.
